Troubleshooting
Connector problems
Most connector problems are fixed from the Claude or ChatGPT side: start the connection again, start a new conversation, or refresh the connector.
“This connection request is invalid or expired. Start again from your AI host.”
What it means. The connection link Claude or ChatGPT opened was already used or has timed out.
What to do. Go back to Claude or ChatGPT and start the connection again, then press Continue to host consent on the new Querywright page. Refreshing the old Querywright page does not help.
What it is not. It is not a problem with your account or your saved work.
Your AI shows no Querywright tools
What it means. The connector is added but not switched on for this conversation, or the connection did not finish.
What to do.
- Make sure the Querywright connector or app is switched on for the conversation, then start a new conversation.
- Check Settings → Connected AI. If no connection with today’s date appears, press Refresh. If it is still missing, connect again from Claude or ChatGPT.
- If the tools still don’t appear, remove the connector or app and add it again with the same address,
https://mcp.querywright.com/mcp.
What it is not. Querywright has no API key to enter. If ChatGPT shows no developer mode, your ChatGPT plan or workspace may not allow it.
Your AI’s tools are out of date after a Querywright update
What it means. Claude and ChatGPT keep a copy of a connector’s tool list. After Querywright updates its tools, a conversation can still be working from the old list: your AI may say a tool is missing, offer one that is gone, or report that a request was not accepted.
What to do.
- Start a new conversation.
- If the list is still old, refresh the connector in Claude or ChatGPT, or disconnect it there and connect it again.
- Check Settings → Connected AI afterwards. If an older connection is still listed, press Disconnect beside it.
What it is not. Nothing in your account changed, and nothing you saved is lost.
Your AI says “Account → Google Search Console → Reconnect Google”
What it means. Your AI is quoting older wording that Querywright still sends it. Account → Google Search Console means Settings → Google Search Console. If your AI says “Account → Reconnect Google”, it means the same place.
What to do. Open Settings → Google Search Console, choose the site, and press Reconnect Google in the Bound property box. See Google sign-in and property connections.
Your AI reads Querywright’s instructions before it starts
What it means. Before its first action, your AI reads Querywright’s current instructions. After a Querywright update it may read them again before continuing.
What to do. Nothing. Let it finish, then repeat your request if it did not carry on.
What it is not. It does not use any of your allowances.
After signing in, the App opens setup instead of your sites
What it means. Setup is not finished. The App opens setup until the Plan, Site and Connect AI steps are complete.
What to do. Finish the step the App shows. If the Connect AI step stays current after you connected, press Refresh in Settings → Connected AI.
What it is not. Your saved scans and history are still there; View saved evidence opens them from the Plan step.
Your AI says an operation requires an active entitlement
What it means. Your subscription is not active, so new work is refused. Your AI may say “This operation requires an active entitlement. Manage billing in Querywright Settings.”
What to do. Open Settings → Billing. See Your subscription.
What it is not. Your saved work stays readable, in the App and through your AI.
Your AI says the site isn’t registered to your account
What it means. Your AI asked about an address that is not one of your sites. www and non-www, http and https are different sites.
What to do. Add that exact address in Settings → Sites, or tell your AI which of your sites you meant. See Sites.
What it is not. Your AI does not try other versions of the address on its own.
